HOW DOES THE WEEKEND GO?

Family, friends, fans and partners,

Many of you have been to our races and events before and know exactly what to expect and for others, this may be your first time. So here you go- here are my words as to how a race weekend will typically flow…  An exact schedule for each race will be released and you’ll find a link as the date gets closer.  This timeline is a well educated estimate :)

Our first on track activity will begin on Friday- It is usually just a practice day and qualifying so things are pretty easy, informal and not very crowded. Tickets and credentials are another important aspect. If you purchased a general admission ticket, you have either taken care of that already online or will pick it up at the entry gate. If you have purchased a VIP Credential you will have received an email with instructions as to when and where you can pick up those credentials. I’d recommend doing it early in the weekend, like Thursday or Friday so you don’t get pinched on time. Another note- typically covered shoulders, long pants and closed toe shoes are required to enter the hot pit area.

Saturday will be our first race which is 1 hour long. It has a required pit stop during a window that opens 25 minutes into the race where we are required to do a driver change. Sean or Dr. Jim will be the driver starting Saturdays race and I will be finishing. We will reverse orders on Sunday with myself starting and either Sean or Dr. Jim finishing.

Sunday is our second and final race of the weekend. It will follow the format detailed above. If all goes well, we can meet at the podium and spray some Champagne to finish the weekend in style :)

IF YOU PURCHASED A VIP RACE WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

Thank you for being a part of ALL the action. Remember that with this package you’ll have to pick up a special credential at the Pirelli World Challenge registration desk as well as a special ticket from the TRG head of hospitality upon arriving at the track. This will help to identify you for meals, snacks, drinks, your goodie package and for when it is time to head to the hot pits!

Your VIP credential includes all the snacks and drinks in our TRG hospitality area as well as a catered lunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

And of course there is the famous Adobe Road Winery Team Dinner on either Friday or Saturday night. You will receive detailed information on this as the date draws closer.
