Brooke DeBoer is a storyteller and a dreamer. The filmmaker is the owner, creative producer and director at Chop Chop Media, her production company, where she produces independent documentaries for a variety of clients across diverse platforms.

 

But that’s not all. She’s also Derek’s wife. It was Brooke who encouraged Derek to follow his dreams of being a race car driver some 18 years ago and the two have partnered on the track and in life ever since to make sure those dreams come true. 

 

It’s through Brooke’s lens that Fastlife comes to life. It’s a labor of love for this accomplished documentarian and mother of three daughters — Paige, Haylee and Ryann. On any given race weekend, you’ll see Brooke with her camera gear in hand (and on shoulder), scooting between the paddock and the pit lane to get the shot and to support her husband.

 

Chop Chop Media specializes in film production, direction, shooting, editing and coordination of film projects. The company caters projects to the individual needs of each client. She earned her filmmaking chops as a production assistant and production coordinator, as well as assistant director and director roles on various projects. Her expertise is widely sought after and she sits on the board of a number of organizations including for Southern Oregon Film and Media, the Ashland Independent Film Festival and more. Brooke’s mission is to improve the world, one story at a time.
