Fastlife? No Lie.

November 16, 2016

My dad used to always use the expression “no lie” to create emphasis.  I’m using it now!

We really do live the fast life, no lie.  It’s just little old me scrambling to put episodes together in the midst of keeping up with our insanely fast paced life.  At the drop of a hat, we have to go here and there to meet potential partners, for driving days, testing days or even a last minute race — the Lamborghini Squadra Corse Super Trofeo World Finals — in Valencia, Spain on December 2!  The coming episode shows the recent trip we had two days notice to prepare for.

Derek was invited to a driving day at Sonoma Raceway with his team to entertain potential clients and show them a good time.  Unfortunately, his car was having some mechanical challenges so he spent more time off the track working on making new friends and discussing his hopes for next year with them.

Today I don’t have a lot of time to write, talk about politics or even eat because I am working on the next Fastlife episode.  This one is potentially one of the most interesting because it shows you the world headquarters, as Kevin Buckler, team owner refers to it, of The Racer’s Group and some of the inner-workings at the shop.  There were many meetings I was asked not to film as programs are still developing and new relationships being formed.  However, I enjoyed touring the shop, seeing the work Derek’s lead mechanic has been doing with the cars and watching the faces and reactions of the first-timers coming out of the race cars after a lap around the track.  We filmed an impromptu commercial for the upcoming race in Valencia and enjoyed some fun dinners, too.  No lie, this is the Fastlife…and we’re doing it!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode.  Please subscribe and tell your friends about us so we can keep you in the loop on all the excitement!  Next stop, Spain!  We hope!!!
